Dominic Amarosa
Dominic Amarosa, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired brewmaster and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; three sons, Michael Amarosa of Port Jefferson, N.Y., Bill Amarosa of Middle Village, N.Y., and Robert Amarosa of Nesconset, N.Y.; one brother, Bill Amarosa of Bellerose, N.Y.; one sister, Mildred Rini of Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with services at 6 p m. in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to St. Jude Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the donor's favorite charity.
Roseann Fighera
Roseann Fighera, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1952, in Illinois. A resident for 20 years, she was a food server.
She is survived by one daughter, Katie Planchon of Las Vegas; and her mother, Rose.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Monday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be private.
Raymond W. 'Knule' Hannah
Raymond W. "Knule" Hannah, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Shawnee, Mo. A resident for one year, he was a retired Army colonel, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the American Contract Bridge League.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Elyn; two sons, Charles B. Hannah of Anchorage, Alaska, and Raymond W. Hannah Jr. of Michigan; one stepson, Dustin L. Dingman of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Nicole Goar of Denver; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Michael LaMarr Hunt
Michael LaMarr Hunt, 21, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 12, 1982, in California. A resident for seven months, he was a chef.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Buskey-Smith of North Las Vegas; his father, Barry Hunt of Arizona; two brothers, Barry Hunt Jr. of Arizona and Antoine Smith of North Las Vegas; and four sisters, Kokayia Hunt of Las Vegas, Tajonneea Hunt of California and Dilisha A. Hunt and Krystall Hunt, both of North Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave.
Joseph McCulloch
Joseph McCulloch, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Somerville, Mass. A resident for 17 years, he was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by one brother, Frank McCulloch of Scituate, Mass.; one sister, Mary Moore, and one nephew, Bruce Moore, both of Las Vegas.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Irene S. Pollock
Irene S. Pollock, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born March 30, 1913, in Nelsonville, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 1:30 p.m. services Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Della Mae Rostine
Della Mae Rostine, 97, of Henderson died Saturday in Albuquerque. She was born May 30, 1905, in Lakeview, Mo. A resident for 61 years, she worked at Rheem Manufacturing Co. near the end of World War II and her husband supported the war effort at Basic Magnesium.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocco; and two sons, Larry and Bob.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Looney of Albuquerque; one son, George Rostine of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Helen Games of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Merle L. Smith
Merle L. Smith, 68, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1934, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by three sons, Dale Smith and Daniel Smith, both of Las Vegas, and Timothy Smith of Henderson; two daughters, Kathy Franco of Henderson and Brenda Mena of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Douglas T. Wren
Douglas T. Wren, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1961, in Easton, Pa. A resident for two years, he was a driver.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; one daughter, Stephanie Kiefer of Norfolk, Va.; one stepson, Mark Rogers, and one stepdaughter, Shannon Rogers, both of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Edward and Barbara Wren of Haines City, Fla.; and one brother, Edward P. Wren of Ontario, Calif.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
