Letter: Lawmakers need to pass bill for mass transit
Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 | 9:05 a.m.
I have been a Las Vegas resident since early 1994. Since that time Las Vegas has become much more polluted and full of traffic. I would like to see more transportation options that would improve the quality of life in Las Vegas, such as an improved and expanded bus system, a light rail and monorail systems.
Please urge our legislators in Carson City to pass the transit tax (Question 10 in Clark County). This would reduce traffic jams, reduce smog, create less dependence on foreign oil and create more open space.
