The ALS Association Nevada Chapter, David Saxe Productions, The Venetian and H&H of Nevada will host the All-Star Las Vegas Show at 5 p.m. Saturday at The Venetian.
There will be special appearances by the cast of "V, The Ultimate Variety Show," Clint Holmes, Bill Acosta, Earl Turner, Ronn Lucas, Amazing Jonathan, and many more.

Citizens police academy coming up
The Henderson Police Department is accepting applications for its upcoming citizen police academy, where civilians can experience a bit of Henderson police training.
The 12-week academy begins March 12 and meets from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the police department headquarters. Discussion topics include community policing, use of force, gangs, drugs, detention center, communications and investigations.
The department's special response team will demonstrate various firearms, and students will have a chance to fire some weapons.
Students must be at least 21 years old and live or work in Henderson. For more information, contact the police department's training bureau at 565-2450.
IRS help set for tax-exempt groups
The Internal Revenue Service will hold three one-day workshops for small and mid-sized tax-exempt organizations Tuesday through Feb. 27.
The free workshops will cover the procedures tax-exempt organizations must follow to maintain their tax-exempt status and comply with their tax obligations.
The workshops are designed for board members, officers and staff of new, small and mid-sized tax-exempt organizations that have received exemption within the last five years and have an annual income of less than $1 million.
Advance registration is requested. To register and for a complete schedule of the workshops, call IRS Exempt Organizations Customer Account Services toll free at (877) 829-5500 and selecting the "Exempt Organization" option.
Track wines to biblical times
"Wines of the Bible," a wine-tasting event, will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Alexander Dawson School, 1160 Town Center Drive.
Tastes the exotic wines of ancient times and discover how they evolved over the centuries into many of the wines enjoyed today.
Admission is $75 and will benefit Galilee Youth Camp and Conference Center. Call 293-0777.
The Nevada Chapter of Better Vision
for Children Foundation will conduct a free screening for children ages 5 and under for amblyopia (lazy eye), retinoblastoma (eye cancer) and other eye disorders from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the Clinic on Wheels in the Boys and Girls Clubs' parking lot, 800 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. Call 459-5993.
