Letter: We must attack Iraq to avoid global disaster
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003 | 9:11 a.m.
The U.S. foreign policy critics, while claiming they see a theoretical need for attacking Iraq, want only inaction; often termed "peace."
We must begin the remedy for Iraq's behavior while the evil is still small. Holding to a rigid doctrine of "peace" ignores the impermanent character of relations among governments, e.g., Russia, China, Germany.
Who knows what great things will be unleashed by confronting the retrograde Iraq. We can only imagine what horrors await us if we don't.
