Teens can learn to lower stress
Former schoolteacher Nathaniel Quintana will host "Teen Talk Dealing with Stress," a class from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
The class will teach teens how to cope with daily stress, and Guintana will help each participant identify the causes of stress and teach techniques to lower stress levels.

Seniors treated to variety of activities
Sunrise Senior Friends, 3101 S. Maryland Parkway No. 314, will present "What You Need to Know About the Smallpox Vaccine," an informative discussion from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Senior Center.
Jennifer Sizemore of the Clark County Health District will answer questions about the risks and potential problems of the vaccine.
Also, Senior Friends will host its Big Band Blast Party from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stardust hotel. The party will feature tunes from the big band era. Tickets are $20.
A driver safety class will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27. A $10 fee applies to the class. Checks/money orders only, payable to AARP, must be received before a reservation can be made.

Lynette Boggs-McDonald invites residents to attend a neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive, to discuss ideas and concerns. For more information, call 229-6501.
Mold Survivors of America
will present "Mold in America: Insurance Issues," a free public event from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today in the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' Stan Fulton Building. Insurance defense attorney Richard Young, along with a panel of insurance adjusters, will speak. For more information, call 871-0909.
Haydee Carras and Lisa Peterson
with Child Shield USA will conduct a free seminar and discussion at 7 p.m. Friday at The Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada, 5300 Vegas Drive. The discussion will consist of practical ways to safeguard your child. For more information or needed reservations for the seminar, call 648-1990.
