BRISBANE, Australia -- Australian casino owner Jupiters Ltd. said Friday that its board will meet March 1 to consider any final takeover proposal from Tabcorp Holdings Ltd. and any final merger proposal from Unitab Ltd.
The board intends to decide on which of the two it will recommend to its shareholders, it said.
Any proposal will be subject to various conditions, including approval of Queensland state's treasurer and other regulatory clearances.
