Medco Health Solutions Inc.'s closure of a Pennsylvania mail-order pharmacy and the elimination of its 600 jobs won't hurt the company's Henderson operation, a spokesman said.
Jeff Simek, a spokesman for Franklin Lakes, N.J.-based Medco, said it hasn't been determined whether hours would be expanded at the company's Henderson center, where 2,200 people are employed and 100,000 mail-order prescriptions are processed per day.
Medco officials announced last week that it is closing its Mechanicsburg, Pa., facility to consolidate operations and increase efficiency. The company said it would shift work to its 11 other pharmacies.
