Furniture maker commits to LV

Monday, Feb. 17, 2003 | 9:43 a.m.

Klaussner Furniture Industries, one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the country, has signed a lease for a showroom in the planned World Market Center in Las Vegas, a newspaper reported.

The Greensboro News & Record in North Carolina reported the Asheboro, N.C.-based manufacturer is one of the largest companies to confirm it will be showing in Las Vegas.

Klaussner will lease about 20,000 square feet in the center's 1.3-million-square-foot first building, David Palmer, director of leasing for the Las Vegas center, told the News & Record.

Klaussner is the second large East Coast furniture company to reveal its support for the Las Vegas market in recent weeks. In January, Broyhill Furniture Industries said it has leased nearly 20,000 square feet there.
