Esther M. Alberti

Esther M. Alberti, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1911, in Muscatine, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Fran Iverson of Las Vegas and Ilene Stanfa of Melrose Park, Ill.; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Jonathon Michael Butler

Jonathon Michael Butler, 12, of Henderson died Feb. 7 in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1990, in Ventura, Calif.

He is survived by his father, Vernon Russell Kerver; his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Gordon Butler, and one sister, Cristie Morrow, all of Henderson; and two brothers, Todd Butler and Michael Butler, both of Simi Valley, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Monday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Janet Holiday Cutter

Janet Holiday Cutter, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Altoona, Pa. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Gold Star Wives.

She is survived by six daughters, Suzanne Esrey and Jamie Sanborn, both of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Dianne Mansfield of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Lianne Foster of San Bernardino, Calif., and Joanne Lopez and Georganne Mumm, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Needles, Calif.

Brett Dittmer

Brett Dittmer, 38, of Las Vegas died Jan. 27 in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1964.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Dittmer.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Lisa D. Earnhart

Lisa D. Earnhart, 44, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1958, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for five years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Land, one sister, Vicki Fausett, and one nephew, Michael Fausett, all of Henderson.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Marcia Dawn Gronholm

Marcia Dawn Gronholm, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 26, 1948, in Chicago. A resident for three years, she was a customer service representative.

She is survived by her husband, Paul R.; and two brothers, Jeff Vis and Larry Vis, both of Illinois.

Helen Kirby

Helen Kirby, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A saleswoman, she was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Pennsylvania.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Cleveland. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Michael S. Mesechoff

Michael S. Mesechoff, 60, of Las Vegas died Feb. 6 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Dearborn, Mich. A resident for 30 years, he was a pool technician.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; four daughters, Toni Rainee of Chicago, Kellee Mesechoff of Detroit and Michka Mesechoff and Mekial Mesechoff, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Elizabeth of Detroit; and six grandchildren.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Henry Lawrence Mnich

Henry Lawrence Mnich, 77, of Las Vegas died Jan. 31 in Arizona. He was born July 23, 1925, Thompsonville, Conn. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired member of the Teamsters Union and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Catherine Bilotta of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Cathy Olinger

Cathy Olinger, 35, of Las Vegas died Feb. 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1967, in Orange, Calif. A resident for 29 years, she was a casino cage manager at the Big Horn casino.

She is survived by two daughters, Charmaine Miano and Kylee Olinger, all of Las Vegas; her parents, James and Lonnie Lewis of Elk City, Okla.; two sisters, Pamela Cross and Debra Delibertis, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Sunday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Ernest Pippin

Ernest Pippin, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A laborer, he was born June 14, 1928, in Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Anne.

Shirley Rodriguez

Shirley Rodriguez, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1925, in Idaho. A resident for 76 years, she was a sous chef for a local casino.

She is survived by her husband, Marcial; one son, Terry Johnson; one daughter, Cheryll; one brother, Don Christensen; one sister, Beverly Phillips; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5005 Donnie Ave.

Patricia Sanchez

Patricia Sanchez, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A baker, she was born Aug. 19, 1946, in California.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Gainer.

Bernard Bruce 'Buddy' Slanhoff

Bernard Bruce "Buddy" Slanhoff, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born April 5, 1923, in New York. A resident for 23 years, he was a furniture salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; one son, Michael Slanhoff; one daughter, Susan; and three grandchildren.

William Earl Springall

William Earl Springall, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 40 years, he was a floor manager and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by two sons, Eric Springall of Las Vegas and Earl Springall of Chino Hills, Calif.; and three daughters, Virginia Smith of Las Vegas, Rebecca Gallo of Parris, Calif., and Janet Brailsford of Dana Point, Calif.; three half-sisters, Rose Marie Anderson of Ammon, Idaho, Ileen Wardal of Logan, Utah, and Charleen Hill of Caldwell, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Tule Springs Stake Center. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Leland Taylor

Leland Taylor, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Jonesboro, Ark. A resident for 66 years, he was a retired special events coordinator and a member of the Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Olen R.; two sons, Chuck Taylor and Dan Taylor, and two brothers, Jim Taylor and Tony Taylor, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Billye W. Weller

Billye W. Weller, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Knox City, Texas. A resident for seven years, she was a retired fashion coordinator for a retail chain.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Weller, Col., USAF (Ret.); two sons, Davy W. Weller of Hailey, Idaho, and Paul R. Weller of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jan G. Weller of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Diane S. Morgan of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.
