WASHINGTON -- Congress on Thursday stamped its final approval on the $400 billion federal budget bill that allocates money to most federal departments and projects in the fiscal year that began Oct. 1.
President Bush is expected to sign the bill.
In the fine print of the 32-pound, 3,000-page bill are an estimated $400 million for more than 100 Nevada projects. That figure excludes money for the Department of Energy's proposed nuclear waste repository project at Yucca Mountain, 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
