BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Erie County Executive Joel Giambra said Wednesday he is in no rush to see a casino in the county and would rather build something to complement, not compete with, the Seneca Indian Nation's new Niagara Falls casino.
"Why not wait," Giambra said during his State-of-the-County address. "Let's see if we can't do something family friendly, distinctive and special."
The Senecas opened their Niagara County casino on New Year's Eve and are now looking for a site in Erie County for a second gambling hall.
