UNLV completes sweep of Coll. of Charleston

UNLV's Eddie Gill broke up a 9-9 tie with an eighth-inning grand slam to give the Rebels a 13-9 win and a series sweep over College of Charleston on Sunday afternoon.
The Rebels improved to 5-1, while the Cougars fell to 0-3.
Shane Clatterbuck (1-0) was credited with the win. He threw one hitless inning. Starter David Seccombe gave up six runs on nine hits in four innings of work.
Gill finished the game 4-for-5 with four runs scored and four RBIs. Patrick Dobson went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Eric Nielsen went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer.
UNLV continues a nine-game home stand with 10-ranked Cal State Fullertson next weekend.
