Hoping to drum up leads in the murder investigation of Carol Miller, Metro Police handed out fliers to drivers Saturday afternoon at Fort Apache and Red Hills roads.
Miller, 58, was last seen about 4 p.m. Feb. 1, exactly a week earlier, walking in that area. Police were trying to determine what route Miller took when she disappeared.
"We're hoping someone with a routine that would bring them to this area might have seen her," homicide Lt. Tom Monahan said.
Miller's body was found Feb. 3 near the Las Vegas Beltway and Far Hills Avenue. Investigators said she had been strangled.
She was wearing glasses, a black nylon jogging suit, sneakers, several gold rings, a white gold necklace with black lapis stones and a small women's gold Rolex watch when she set off on her walk in the areas of Canyon Gate and Peccole Ranch, police said.
Miller is described as 5-feet-2 and 170 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Anyone who believes they may have seen Miller is asked to call Metro's homicide section at 229-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
