Campaign filings announced

Henderson Municipal Court Judge John Provost filed to run for re-election on Friday.

One other candidate has filed a challenge to Provost for the District 2 bench: Douglas Hedger.

In Las Vegas, Jefferson Lee has signed up to run for Ward 5. Councilman Lawrence Weekly currently presides over the district. Weekly is expected to file for re-election but had not declared his candidacy as of Friday.

Also in Las Vegas, a fifth candidate has added his name to the already packed race for the open seat for Municipal Judge Department 6. Gary A. Pulliam will join Bill Gonzalez, Bill Henderson, Stefany Miley and Abbi Silver in the race for the seat vacated by Jessie Walsh, who was elected to District Court in November.

The candidate filing deadline is Friday.
