Wolfgang Puck meals to be sold

Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 | 10:59 a.m.

ARLINGTON, V.A. -- US Airways Group Inc., the No. 7 U.S. airline, will be the first carrier to sell meals from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck on some flights next year, starting with smoked turkey sandwiches and Chinois salad.

The $10 meals will be served on most domestic flights of at least 700 miles and on some Caribbean journeys. The meals feature items such as caramelized pecans, dried apples, coffee-fudge brownies and bottled spring water, US Airways said.

Puck, who owns the Spago restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, also markets lines of frozen food, cookbooks and pots and pans.
