BLM to auction wild horses Saturday
The Bureau of Land Management will offer up to seven horses at a wild horse adoption event at 8 a.m. Saturday at Oliver Ranch in Red Rock Canyon.
All horses are less than 2 years old and were gathered from the Nevada Wild Horse Range on the Nevada Test and Training Range.
The horses will be available for adoption by silent bids. Horses must receive a minimum bid of $125.

A fund-raiser for injured fire Capt.
Theo Adams will be held at Dairy Queen, 115 N. Decatur Blvd., from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Portions of the profits will be donated to the captain's benefit fund. Call 229-0145.
The Daughters of the British Empire
will host a Christmas dance for charity from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Gold Coast. Prizes and giveaways will be part of the festivities. Tickets are $15 and includes two drinks and two raffle tickets. Call 731-2588.
