Letter: Growth goes on despite drought
Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 | 9:02 a.m.
Bear with me while I quote from an article published Dec. 8 in the Las Vegas Sun's Business section:
"... Archon Corp. said it plans to build a hotel-casino anchored by a 600-foot Ferris wheel at the Wet 'n Wild waterpark just south of the Sahara hotel-casino. ... The Clark County Commission in February approved Archon's plans for a 50-story hotel and time-share development with a total of 3,250 rooms and 78 suites. The suites would be located on 20 yachts permanently moored on a man-made lake."
Considering the above, along with the Las Vegas Valley drought plan, I have to ask: And I will be fined for washing my car from a bucket of water?
