SUN WIRE REPORTS
Clinton Portis' right leg injury is not as bad as first thought, tests showed Monday, and the Denver Broncos hope he'll be able to play next weekend.
Portis was hurt Sunday when Browns defensive tackle Tyrone Rogers rolled into his leg in Denver's 23-20 victory. Portis' leg appeared to bend at an awkward angle, and he was helped off the field.
But Monday's tests showed only sprains in his ankle and knee.
