Nelda Sessions Adams

Nelda Sessions Adams, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 19, 1912, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 74 years, she was a homemaker, a member of PEO Sisters, Desert Chorale and LDS Relief Society and a temple worker in St. George, Utah.

She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce L. Adams, and one daughter, Nelda Marlene Adams.

She is survived by one son, Brent Adams of Reno; one son-in-law, Harold Rangel of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday at the LDS Eighth and Franklin chapel. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert James Bartley

Robert James Bartley, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Homestead, Pa. A resident for 50 years, he was a bricklayer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Janis Derouin and Barbara Emes of Las Vegas; one sister, Kay Weigel of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Joan Brazeau

Joan Brazeau, 66, of Henderson died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 8, 1937, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for four years, she was a retired accountant for a landscaper.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Michael Brazeau and Brett Brazeau, both of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Christine VanDuyn of Henderson and Brenda Brazeau-Terrana of Lewiston, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Ann Tomlinson of Mansfield, Pa., and Janet Dawson of Niagara Falls; one brother, William Dawson of Florida; and four grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Alice H. Davis

Alice H. Davis, 84, of Boulder City died Dec. 9 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Cleveland. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired artist and a member of the Boulder City Art Guild.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan McCormick of Boulder City; two sons, William L. Davis of Herndon, Va., and Mark H. Davis of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Anne M. Dudasik

Anne M. Dudasik, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 27, 1922, in Passaic, N.J. A resident for eight years, she was an electronics inspector for RCA-Solitron-Florida ITT Laboratories and Kearfott in New Jersey.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kelly of North Carolina and Susan Dudasik of Idaho; two sons, Edward M.R. Dudasik of California and Richard Dudasik of New Mexico; one brother, Aaron Sluisman of Florida; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ada 'Jerry' Erickson

Ada "Jerry" Erickson, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 25, 1910, in Utah. A resident for many years, she was a department store saleswoman.

She is survived by one daughter, Shana Kern of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Jeanne Gray

Jeanne Gray, 58, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1945, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Chad Antrim of Las Vegas; and one sister, Linda Hall of Longwood, Fla.

James Hedrick

James Hedrick, 58, of Corn Creek died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Santa Monica, Calif. A lifelong resident, he was a dealer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; five daughters, Jamie Hedrick of Roselle Park, N.J., Rachael Stephen of Searchlight and Jessica Voogd, Rebecca Hedrick and Davina Hedrick, all of Las Vegas; one son, Benjiman Hedrick, and three brothers, Clarence Hedrick III, Joseph Hedrick and George Hedrick, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Kathleen Barnes of Santa Monica, Madeline Day and Patricia Kiser, both of Las Vegas, and Nela Reiter of East Brunswick, N.J.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Charles W. Johnson

Charles W. Johnson, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A retired union painter and Korean War Navy veteran, he was born March 18, 1932, in Elmira, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; and several sons and daughters.

Marguerite A. Lehnert

Marguerite A. Lehnert, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for seven years, she was born March 12, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo.

She is survived by one brother, John H. McMillin of Las Vegas.

Kurt H. Lisch

Kurt H. Lisch, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 10, 1933, in Germany. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired hotel head waiter.

He is survived by his wife, Sicglinde; and one brother, Herbert Hermann Lischetzke of Cologne, Germany.

Jesse L. Marve

Jesse L. Marve, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1931, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 10 years, he was an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie L.; one son, Robert Marve of California; two daughters, Lorna L. Marve of Las Vegas and Cynthia Perry-Scott of California; two brothers, Jerold Marve and Robert Marve, and one sister, Verle Ann, all of Michigan; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Abundant Life Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1720 N. J St. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Maria Mendoza

Maria Mendoza, 74, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A schoolteacher, she was born May 17, 1929, in Mexico.

She is survived by five daughters, Mary Esther Mendoza of Boston, Enedina H. Barney and Lillian Mendoza, both of Henderson, Dora Perez of Alhambra, Calif., and Patricia Harewood of Belton, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until a 6 p.m. rosary today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Agnes Mestas

Agnes Mestas, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born April 20, 1929, in Durango, Colo. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Theresa Lucero and Patricia Mestas, both of Las Vegas, and Anna Mae Fernandez of Henderson; three sons, Benny Mestas of Grand Junction, Colo., Charles Mestas of Las Vegas and Richard Mestas of Henderson; one brother, Benny Vigil of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Schnider of Denver; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Julius Miko

Julius Miko, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 20, 1915, in Cleveland. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired printer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Cynthia and Vanessa; one son, Louis; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones.

Mary Bahr O'Quinn

Mary Bahr O'Quinn, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Wisconsin. A resident for 49 years, she was a homemaker, co-founder of the Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club, Silver State Kennel Club and Black Mountain Kennel Club and was a licensed dog obedience judge.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; her mother, Gladys Bahr of Wisconsin; two daughters, Kelly O'Quinn of Las Vegas and Kathryn Peery of Tennessee; two brothers, John Bahr of Hawaii and LeRoy Bahr of Las Vegas; two sisters, Kathryn Tannert and Joanne Miller, both of Wisconsin; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Virgil Qualls

Virgil Qualls, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Kennett, Mo. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired cemetery landscaper.

He is survived by his wife, Hannah; one daughter, Renee Pike of Riverside, Calif.; one son, Jeffery Qualls of Las Vegas; three brothers; four half-sisters; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Shirley Ann Upright

Shirley Ann Upright, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired bingo manager at the Horseshoe Club.

She is survived by one son, Robin Timothy Ginter, one daughter, Roxane West, and her mother, Anne Bramlet, all of Las Vegas; one brother, William Shearer of Indian Wells, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
