Visitor volume up

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority last week reported visitor volume to the gaming capital climbed 3.1 percent in October, thanks primarily to an increase in convention attendance. The LVCVA said 3.1 million people visited the city in October, up from 3 million for the same month a year ago. Visitor volume was up 8.7 percent to 149,991 in October in Mesquite and down 1.5 percent to 333,924 in Laughlin for the month.
