Revival meetings held this week
Lily of the Valley Ministries is holding a revival meetings every night through Friday at 6 p.m. at 100 S. Maryland Pkwy., between Fremont Street and Carson Avenue.
The public is invited to attend.
As part of the ministry the group is distributing food and clothes to the down-and-out.
The healing and deliverance ministry reaches out to alcoholics, drug addicts, drug pushers, pimps, prostitutes and the oppressed. Some attendees have been healed from their addictions.

Children's Parade set Saturday
Foothills High School's National Honor Society will present their 32nd annual Henderson Children's Holiday Parade at noon Saturday on Water Street.
The parade will include various entries from high schools and businesses. Santa will close the parade.
Foothill's National Honor Society will also be hosting a book drive in conjunction with Kids to Kids. People are urged to bring slightly used or new books to contribute to the drive. Students will be walking around during the parade with wagons for depositing them.

Post offices have new hours
Local post offices have extended hours for customers mailing holiday items.
These stations will either be extending or adding Saturday hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Las Vegas Station, 4948 S. Mountain Vista; Crossroads Station, 6210 N. Jones Blvd.; Garside Station, 1801 S. Decatur Blvd.; Huntridge Station, 3115 E. Olive St.; King Station, 1801 N. Martin Luther King; Redrock Vista Station, 2449 N. Tenaya Way; Silverado Station, 455 E. Pebble Road; Summerlin Station, 1611 Spring Gate Lane; Winterwood Station, 5070 Vegas Valley Drive.
Saturday and Dec. 20: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Henderson Main Post Office, 404 S. Boulder Highway.
Saturday and Dec. 20: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., North Las Vegas Meadow Mesa Station, 4904 Camino Al Norte.
Post Office Express Units are located inside Albertson's stores at: 8350 W. Cheyenne Ave.; 6140 W. Lake Mead Blvd.; 6850 Spring Mountain Road; 4801 Spring Mountain Road; 2300 E. Tropicana Ave.; 7271 S. Eastern Ave.; 4420 Bonanza Road; 724 S. Boulder Highway.

Holiday Lights concert planned
The City of Lights Chorus will perform "Holiday Lights" beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday on the Cheyenne Campus of the Community College of Southern Nevada, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas.
The show will feature traditional holiday songs, a cappella in barbershop, jazz and doo wop styles in quartets of men, women and in combination along with the men's chorus.

Arts group will host reception
The Henderson Art Association will be hosting its "Home for the Holidays" reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Old Town Gallery, 10 W. Pacific St. The public is invited for an evening of art and holiday festivities. The Winter Art exhibit is now on display. Call 568-5655.
The Salvation Army's
toy donations for the Christmas Angel program are located at JCPenney's at the Boulevard mall, Dillards at the Meadows mall and Las Vegas Premium Outlets, or if you can donate a new unwrapped toy, you can bring it to 2900 Palomino Lane or any of the Angel Tree locations. Call 870-4430, Ext. 23.
