Charles Bumstead

Charles Bumstead, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1950, in Massachusetts. A resident for nine years, he was a commercial custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Jacob Michael Bumstead and Charles Maxwell Bumstead, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Kathy Pomaleau of Massachusetts.

Joni K. Cole

Joni K. Cole, 46, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1956, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 34 years, she was a teacher at O'Callaghan Middle School.

She is survived by her parents, Daniel and Ann Sue Cole, and one brother, Gregory J. Cole, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Jeri K. Kole of San Jose, Calif.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gertrude Conboy

Gertrude Conboy, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born March 28, 1915, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Kevin Conboy of Las Vegas and John Conboy of San Diego; one sister, Evelyn Alexander of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elsie L. Del Fante

Elsie L. Del Fante, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 16, 1910, in Goodwin, Ark. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a property management company.

She is survived by one son, Michele Del Fante of Las Vegas; one daughter, Susan Del Fante of Key Largo, Fla.; one sister, Cara Ernistine Sutherland of Cherryvale, Kan.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mary A. DeMitchell

Mary A. DeMitchell, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Orlando, Fla. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Wilfred E. DeMitchell of Las Vegas; two sons, Todd A. DeMitchell of North Hampton, N.H., and Bruce W. DeMitchell of San Marcos, Calif.; one brother, Richard Hughes of Sun City West, Ariz.; one sister, Dolores Bailey of Orlando; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Paul E. Dowler

Paul E. Dowler, 65, of Henderson died Dec. 2 in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Athens County, Ohio. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired electrical supervisor for the city government, an Army veteran, a member of the Teamsters Union and Boulder City Men's Golf Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Tami Campbell of Henderson; one son, Scot Dowler of Redding, Calif.; one half-sister, Tori Jolley of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, followed by a memorial service in Christ Luthern Church, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Bernice Friedman

Bernice Friedman, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born April 17, 1921, in Illinois.

She is survived by one niece, Andra Sobol of Northbrook, Ill.

Services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joseph Gonzales

Joseph Gonzales, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired Chicago Police officer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Henry Gonzales and James Gonzales, both of Chicago, and Joseph Gonzales of Plainfield, Ill.; four daughters, Annamarie Merkell of Munster, Ind., and Vivian Gonzales, Linda Esparza and Theresa Gonzales, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Henrietta Soto of Palatine, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ana K. Gonzalez

Ana K. Gonzalez, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 1, 1911, in Argentina. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Enrique Gonzalez of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bert Walter Hunley

Bert Walter Hunley, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born Dec. 4, 1957, in Los Angeles. A resident for 45 years, he was an automobile salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; three sons, Garret Hunley, James Hunley and Everett Hunley, one daughter, Melissa Hunley, his mother, Colleen Hunley, and one sister, Cynthia Etie, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Lenora Isabel Lindsley

Lenora Isabel Lindsley, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A resident for 10 years, she was born July 10, 1920, in Sterling, Ill.

She is survived by one son, Elvin E. Lindsley of Las Vegas; two daughters, Betty Louise Shannon of Gilbert, N.C., and Linda Kay Kruchten of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Lester B. Lowry

Lester B. Lowry, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Indiana. A resident for four years, he owned a carpet cleaning company and was an World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edna A.; three sons, Justin C. Lowry, Philip M. Lowry and Joseph L. Lowry; three daughters, Rosanne M. Stewart, Mary J. Lowry and Linda B. Kieper; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Warm Springs Baptist Church.

Peter David Maudlin

Peter David Maudlin, 82, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired airline navigator and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Joan Maudlin of Las Vegas and Patricia Hyatt of Boulder City; one son, Paul Maudlin of Los Alamos, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Interment will follow in Palm Memorial Park's Mausoleum, Henderson.

Lois F. Ostunio

Lois F. Ostunio, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born June 13, 1933, in Lyons, N.Y. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired casino hostess.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Valentine of Henderson; one son, John J. Ostunio of Costa Mesa, Calif.; one sister, Joan Kanfoush of Syracuse, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. until noon services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Madeline Payne

Madeline Payne, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. She was born March 10, 1920, in Alexandria, Egypt. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired longtime Sunrise Hospital kitchen worker and a World War II British Army veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina Hill of Mesquite, Texas.

William E. Pritchett

William E. Pritchett, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 27, 1919, in Dallas. A resident for 50 years, he was a casino supervisor, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Elks North Las Vegas 2353, Golden Rodent Trench Rats, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by one daughter, Summer Star Pritchett, and two sons, Russ C. Pritchett and Robert V. Pritchett, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Libby Raynes

Libby Raynes, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Philadelphia. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired office administrator in the power industry, a member of the Brandise Organization and a volunteer for Friends of Red Rock.

She is survived by two sons, Glenn Raynes of Las Vegas and Clifford Raynes of Philadelphia.

A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lawrence Ogle Richter

Lawrence Ogle Richter, 36, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 17, 1967, in Monrovia, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a hotel waiter.

He is survived by his mother, Carmen Ogle of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Lawrence M. and Zoe Richter of Vernal, Utah; three sisters, Rene Ciaramitaro and Tanya Webb, both of Las Vegas, and Tasha DeMarzo of Vernal; and six brothers, Tony Staggs, Tommy Staggs and Ray Gonzalez, all of Las Vegas, and Kenny Richter, Robert Richter and Jeremy Richter, all of Henderson.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Jose Rojas

Jose Rojas, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A landscaper, he was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Consuelo; five daughters, Carmen Rojas, Josephina Rojas, Yolando Rojas, Laura Rojas and Patty Rojas, and four sons, Jose Luis Rojas, Jose R. Rojas, Jose G. Rojas and Alejandro Rojas, all of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Grace Trentadue

Grace Trentadue, 98, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 9, 1905, in Bari, Italy. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired retail saleswoman.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Trentadue of Stewart, Fla.; one daughter, Ann G. Feldmann of Las Vegas; four brothers, Michael Lupella of Highland Beach, Fla., Pat Lupello of Boulder City, Frank Lupella of Fifty Lakes, Minn., and Anthony Lupella of Las Vegas; three sisters, Lucille Honeywell and Ann LaCasella, both of Las Vegas, and Betty Buck of Westminister, Calif.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
