Multi-Color Corp. of Cincinnati on Friday announced plans to cut 17 jobs with the closing of its Las Vegas plant in mid-January in an effort to reduce overhead, and said it will record a related charge of about $1.2 million.
The maker of decorative labels said that under a consolidation plan, it expects to reduce fixed costs by about $1 million annually.
Multi-Color said one of its other plants will continue to manufacture the shrink sleeve labels produced at the Las Vegas plant.
