RENO -- Junior forward RanDee Henry had a season-high 29 points and the UNLV women's basketball team romped to its fourth consecutive victory against intrastate rival UNR, 90-75, Saturday night at the Lawlor Events Center.
It was the fourth consecutive victory against UNR for the Lady Rebels and improved their 2003-04 rcord to 4-1. The Wolf Pack fell to 0-5.
Henry was 11-for-16 from the floor, 7-of-11 on free throws and pulled down 14 rebounds. Teammate Sherry McCracklin had her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, plus a career-high five steals and four blocked shots.
UNR, which trailed by two at the half, cut UNLV's lead to 41-40 with 16:25 to play, but the Rebels went on a 16-2 run in a little more than four minutes to put the game away.
UNLV has a break in its schedule for final exams at the school and will resume playing next weekend with a two-game road trip to California -- Saturday at 5 p.m. at Cal State Fullerton and Monday at 7 p.m. at Loyola Marymount.
