Opportunity Village Magical Forest open
The 12th annual Magical Forest is open now 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Dec. 28 at Opportunity Village's campus, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd.
The Magical Forest features decorations, holiday music, 3 million lights, Santa's toy workshop in a magical castle, a special gazebo complete with Santa and photo opportunities, hundreds of 15-foot candy canes, animated figures, a gift cabin, a gingerbread house display, refreshments, the Magical Forest Express Train and the Enchanted Carousel.

Parade of Lights to dazzle Lake Mead
The 27th annual Lake Mead Parade of Lights will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at Lake Mead Marina/Seven Crown Resorts.
The parade will proceed along Boulder Beach to Hemenway Harbor before returning to the marina. Up to 50 sail and power boats ranging in size from 16 to 70 feet in size may be seen the the parade, all lighted and decorated in brilliant colors and designs to celebrate the Holiday season.

Nutcracker Fashion Show set Saturday
The Nevada Ballet Theatre will present its first-ever Nutcracker Fashion Show at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday at the Great Hall at the Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The fashion show will feature one-of-a-kind Nutcracker shows; four regularly scheduled holiday shows in which snow falls from the ceiling of the Great Hall at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.; free visits with Santa Claus and many other holiday events. Call 243-2623.
Forum planned on ambulatory health care
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Institute for Quality Improvement is holding its third annual National Quality Forum for Ambulatory Health Care this weekend at the Flamingo hotel.
The two-day conference is designed to help ambulatory health care professionals use effective quality improvement programs, said Bernard Kershner, chairman, Board of Trustees for AAAHC. Visit the AAAHC website at www.aaahc.org.
