Edward W. Calhoun Jr.
Edward W. Calhoun Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Nov. 27, in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1930, in Monroe, La. A resident for nine years, he was an employment analyst for the state of California and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jardell; one son, Darryl Calhoun, and two daughters, Pamela Cutchlow-Brooks and Sherryl Gidratt, all of California; three brothers, Huey P. Calhoun, Alphonso Calhoun and Raymond Calhoun; two sisters, Vongie Lee Dunn and Claudette Jones; and two grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lawrence W. Chapin
Lawrence W. Chapin, 74, of Las Vegas died Nov. 27 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one son, Thomas Chapin, and one daughter, Marilyn Weitzel, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Marguerite Phillipps of Syracuse; one brother, Butch Chapin of Cleveland, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Danielle Chapin, and one great-granddaughter, Megan Moran, both of Long Beach, Calif.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
Thomas Carl DuVan
Thomas Carl DuVan, 52, of Delta, Utah, died Friday in Delta. He was born Feb. 2, 1951, in Las Vegas. A former longtime resident, he was a roofer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his son, Harley DuVan of North Dakota; and a sister, Sandy Sharp of Las Vegas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary. Burial will be Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
S. Kenneth Gore
S. Kenneth Gore, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 7, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, he was a retired pharmacist and a lifetime member of City of Hope.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Oppenheimer Gore of Las Vegas; one son, Steven Gore, and one daughter, Susan Pollack, both of Northridge, Calif.; one brother, Arnold Gore of Milwaukee; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Additional services and burial will be in Illinois.
The family suggests donations to the City of Hope, 5600 W. Spring Mountain Road, Suite 208, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
Toby Ann Handelman
Toby Ann Handelman, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 10, 1962, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a restaurant supplier.
She is survived by her parents, Harold and Hazel Handelman, and one brother, Mark Handelman, all of Las Vegas.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Scott Vic Jameson
Scott Vic Jameson, 45, of Mississippi and Las Vegas died Friday in Hernando, Miss. He was born July 21, 1958, at Nellis Air Force Base. A resident for many years, he was a dealer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Brody Jameson of Hernando; one daughter, Nicole Jameson of Salt Lake City; his mother, Lorraine C. Jameson, and one brother, Richard Jameson, both of Las Vegas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Hollywood and Kell chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Berter Harold Matthews
Berter Harold Matthews, 62, of Las Vegas died Nov. 27 in Las Vegas. An engineer at University Medical Center and an Army veteran, he was born April 28, 1941, in Alabama.
He is survived by four brothers, Billy Matthews, John Salls, Bob Matthews and Fred Salls; and one sister, Eloise Whitlow.
A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126.
Genette Perkins McClellon
Genette Perkins McClellon, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Moorhead, Miss. A resident for 34 years, she was a student success advocate, a member of Daughters of Isis Ladies Shriners Oprah Court 201, Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, the hospitality board at her church and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Allen McClellon; one daughter, Sheila Carswell of Cochran, Ga.; one son, Marlin McClellon of Las Vegas; three sisters, Geneva Jones and Mable Perkins, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Hazel Staples of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Dr. Claude G. Perkins of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion United Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St., North Las Vegas. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Carleen Larcell McCullum
Carleen Larcell McCullum, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in Sacramento. An Army veteran and a secretary in education, she was born May 22, 1955, in Mississippi.
She is survived by five brothers, Harry Lawson of Las Vegas, Isaac McCullum of Aurora, Colo., James M. McCullum of North Las Vegas, Robert Malone of Rackerby, Calif., and Burl Malone of Union City, Calif.; and six sisters, Ona Wells of Sacramento, Ann Schickel of Long Beach, Calif., Blanche Moore of Oakland, Calif., Maggie Towns of North Las Vegas and Deloris Gordon and Bessie Braggs, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia Baptist Church, 2600 Clayton St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Daisy Nasir
Daisy Nasir, 85, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 25, 1918, in Denham Springs, La. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Taylor of Henderson and Luella Craig of Prairieville, La.; two sons, James Nasir of Henderson and Alvey Vallee of Baton Rouge, La.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Carey Oliver
Carey Oliver, 58, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1944, in Newport News, Va. A resident for one year, she was an accountant at the Paiute tribal office.
She is survived by her husband, John; one sister, Shirley Romero, and two nieces, Gina and Cynthia, all of Phoenix.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Henry Palmer
Henry Palmer, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Dalton, Ga. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired electronic technician for the federal government, an Air Force veteran and involved with Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver Award.
He is survived by one daughter, Pam Krill of Las Vegas; one son, James Palmer of Portland, Ore.; his mother, Marie Erwin, and two sisters, Gail Garner and Aldora Erwin, all of Dalton; four brothers, Raymond Palmer, Johnny Erwin and Terry Erwin, all of Dalton, and Gene Erwin of Calhoun, Ga.; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Tropicana Ward. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Josephine Pisanello
Josephine Pisanello, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born June 6, 1922, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 48 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Italian American Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith Pisanello of Las Vegas and Joan Feeney of Providence, R.I.; one son, Michael Pisanello of Las Vegas; four sisters, Jessie Angelone, Ann Burchfield, Faye Macari and Eleanor Arguto, all of Providence, R.I.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Sybil Rosenman
Sybil Rosenman, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Marla Rosenman of Las Vegas; two sons, Howard Rosenman of Seattle and Richard Rosenman of Ottawa, Ontario; one sister, Marion London of Canoga Park, Calif.; two brothers, Eugene Henkin of Las Vegas and Edwin Henkin of San Antonio; and two grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in California. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Bernard C. Snell
Bernard C. Snell, 79, of Las Vegas died Nov. 6 in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1924, in Munnsville, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Pinal County, Ariz., Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; one daughter, Carol Anne Coleman of Chandler, Ariz.; two sons, Bruce Snell of Las Vegas and Bernard J. Snell of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one brother, Tracy Snell of Florida; one sister, Nancy Stoker of New York; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Melba 'Jazzminn' Sutton
Melba "Jazzminn" Sutton, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Reno. A resident for 14 years, she was a hotel waitress.
She is survived by two daughters, Kendra Tylor of Fresno, Calif., and Lakeysha Young of Las Vegas; one son, Jewellonnnie Young of Reno; her parents, Linda and James Sutton of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald Sutton of Arkansas; one sister, Belinda Sutton of Reno; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. A private burial will follow.
