Consumer advocate to head national panel

CARSON CITY -- State Consumer Advocate Tim Hay has been named president of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates.
Hay was chosen at a meeting in Columbus Ohio to succeed Rob Tongren of the Office of Ohio Consumer Counsel. The organization, which met the weekend of Nov. 15, has membership in 45 states.
In Nevada, Hay's office represents consumers in utility rate cases and handles cases of anti-trust, deceptive trade, and security fraud,
