North Las Vegas Police are still searching for a 16-year-old boy who is wanted in connection with the shooting of his father Thursday morning.
Morrison George is believed to be driving a 1989 white Jeep Grand Cherokee with Nevada plates 487NZX and he may be carrying a small-caliber handgun, Officer Justin Roberts, spokesman for the department, said.
Someone reported spotting the Jeep Thursday night in the area of the victim's house in the 3400 block of West Colton Avenue. Police set up a perimeter but didn't find the vehicle.
Police said the victim is being treated for critical injuries at University Medical Center and is on life support. He was shot three times in the upper body.
Police say the shooting happened shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday in the front yard of the victim's house.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 633-9111.
