Middle child thrilled about camp prospect

A single mother writes that her middle child would like to go to camp.
The boy has a lot of energy, she says, and is "always very helpful and a very fast learner."
The boy has never been camping and doesn't have anyone to take him camping, she writes. He is so looking forward to the opportunity to get a scholarship, that just receiving the application for the Sun Camp Fund got him talking about going to camp.
"I hope he is chosen so that he'll feel that he has really accomplished something on his summer break," the mother writes.
The Sun Camp Fund scholarships allow children who otherwise could not afford to go to camp to enjoy the experience. All donations go directly to scholarships, as the Las Vegas Sun picks up all administrative costs.
Your donations can help send a child to camp.
