Perhaps you are among those outdoor adventurers who have made plans for a venturesome trip over this three-day weekend.
Just the idea of an extra day presents a desire for folks to get away and explore the great outdoors. Folks will travel to their favorite destinations for an exciting outdoors experience.
As outdoor enthusiasts leave the city behind, they'll easily observe rigs trailering campers, horses, boats, bicycles, ATVs, personal watercrafts and dirt bikes among others.
The multitude of adventurous recreational opportunities include; a boating expedition to a lake, an opportunity for anglers to try their luck fishing, exploring the wilderness, a journey to a spectacular mountain setting, camping underneath starlit skies, an excursion along a bike trail, backpacking or taking a hike on a popular trail.
Here are a few helpful tips:
Maybe you're among those individuals who have made the decision to enjoy the three days at home. Actually, the idea of a back-yard barbecue sounds relaxing.
What a great opportunity to fire up the grill and barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs for your family or friends. (Hmm hmm, with a little imagination you can already smell the delicious aroma.) Surprise your family and purchase the ingredients to whip up homemade ice cream for dessert. Then take time out to relax in your lounge chair in the cool shade of a tree, enjoy a refreshing cool beverage and read a book.
We often forget, just how simple and relaxing it can be "outdoors" in our own back yards.
Whatever your holiday plans might be, place safety your first priority and have three marvelous days.
Beginning this season, dove hunters are required to shoot nontoxic shot on all state wildlife management areas. Hunters need to review Nevada's bird hunting regulations for any restrictions and changes.
For more information and to reserve a time, call the Nevada Department of Wildlife at (702) 486-5127.
