Metro Police are asking that anyone who witnessed a fatal crash about 4 p.m. Monday at Owens Avenue and Pecos Road between a school bus and a motorcycle to call police.
Detectives initially said they believed the bus driver, Marvin Mosely, 22, was at fault for failing to yield.
But several witnesses have come forward since then reporting that motorcycle driver Sidney McIntire, 48, might have run a red light.
"That's making us suspect what color the light was," Detective Bill Redfairn said. "We need to know that in order to determine who is at fault criminally."
The motorcycle was traveling west on Owens Avenue and the bus was heading east. The bus entered the intersection and tried to make a left turn onto Pecos Road, colliding with the motorcycle, police said.
Redfairn said he hopes to interview the children on the bus to see if they can offer any helpful information. He is working out an arrangement with the the Clark County School District and the children's parents.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Redfairn at 229-3128.
