Whole Foods Market, a speciality grocery store that sells natural and organic foods, opened this morning at 8855 W. Charleston Blvd. This is the Austin, Texas, company's first store in Southern Nevada. The grocery store has a juice and coffee bar, coffee roaster, a wellness department that will sell herbs, vitamins and books, a deli department that also will sell prepared food, such as pizza, and "natural" (no chemicals or artificial ingredients) meat, chicken and seafood counters. The 40,000-square-foot store is almost twice the average size of the company's 145 North American stores.
