Positively Kids benefit planned
KKLZ 96.3-FM will broadcast live from 5 a.m. to midnight Thursday at WOW Superstore, 4580 W. Sahara Ave., to raise money to benefit the Foundation for Positively Kids.
The station will be playing requests from listeners.
Southern Nevada businesses will also be invited to take part in the event. Fifteen-minute sponsorships are available for $150. The sponsorship includes a 10-second open and close announcement for a specific quarter hour.
All proceeds from the sponsorship program will directly benefit the foundation.

Haircuts to benefit Locks of Love
Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Sciences, 9340 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 205, will offer free haircuts from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. during September and will donate the hair to Locks of Love.
For free haircuts, the hair must meet the criteria needed by the organization. Donated hair is evaluated for usefulness and should be at least 10 inches in length or more prior to cutting; the hair must be bundled in a braid or pony tail, be free of damage caused by chemical processing; and be clean and dry. Only those who meet the donation criteria are eligible for a free haircut.
