Edward T. Addison

Edward T. Addison, 95, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1908, in Lake Village, Ark. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired schoolteacher and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one daughter, Anita Addison Miller of Oakland, Calif.; one sister, Isabella Scott of Compton, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

William Alan Borton

William Alan Borton, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1938, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 13 years, he was a salesman, a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club and Chrysler Car Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon R.; two sons, Thomas Borton and Jeffrey Borton; one daughter, Tiffany Borton; one sister, Barbara Lindquist; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Pennsylvania.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Grace Buchanan

Grace Buchanan, 86, of Henderson died Saturday. She was born Nov. 8, 1916, in Hopewell, Va. A resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Don Buchanan of Cedar City, Utah, and James Carl Gilliam of Pasadena, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Pat Bunker

Pat Bunker, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 17, 1934, in Milwaukee. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker, founding secretary of Quarter Scale Association of America, past president of the Nevada State Garden Club, a 20-year member of the Las Vegas Architectural Society and an award-winning member of the International Plastic Model Society.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas A.; two sons, Jerry Blanchette and Mike Blanchette, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Doreen Woodward of Las Vegas and Teri Hicks of Henderson; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Anne P. Carbone

Anne P. Carbone, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A retired waitress, she was born July 8, 1927, in Pershing, Iowa.

She is survived by two sisters, Clerice Fix of Las Vegas and Erma Koehr of Davidsonville, Md.; and one brother, Aldo Bulgarelli of Granger, Iowa.

Florence Caro

Florence Caro, 63, of Las Vegas Saturday in a local hospice. She was born May 13, 1940, in New York City. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynda Alexander and Lisa Parkes, and one son, Joseph Caro, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 6:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Mary Featherstone

Mary Featherstone, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday. A casino cashier, she was born May 25, 1944, in Salem, N.J.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; one son, Edward Featherstone Jr., and two stepdaughters, Jennifer Iverson and Dianna Clark, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Alvena Frost

Alvena Frost, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A retired department store manager, she was born Sept. 29, 1910, in Stoneham, Mass.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy McGrath of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mechelle A. Greer-Houston

Mechelle A. Greer-Houston, 19, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 6, 1984, in Van Nuys, Calif. A resident for two months, she was a student.

She is survived by her mother, Melanie A. Greer of Hibbing, Minn.; her father, John Houston, one brother, John A. Houston, one sister, Ashley J. Houston, and her grandfather, Perry Houston, all of Las Vegas; and her grandmother, Shirley Buckner of Hurricane, Utah.

Bernard Grodin

Bernard Grodin, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired shoe shop owner and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara French of Las Vegas and Evette Ray of Schaumburg, Ill.; one son, Steven Grodin of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Lawrence William Haupt

Lawrence William Haupt, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Latto, Ind. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired screw machine operator for an aviation company and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Rosie Laux, Marie Haupt and Anna Ruth Grotin; and one son, Dale Haupt.

Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Beatrice Helen Hudson

Beatrice Helen Hudson, 92, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in New Mexico. A resident for six years, she was a bookkeeper for a utility company.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Merideth and Sue Marines; one sister, Virginia Sturdivan; and one grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 3:30 p.m. today in Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Nate Jarrette

Nate Jarrette, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for two years, he was a retired sales director of a financial services firm and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, LaVita; three daughters, Tonya Fennel of Atlanta, Nicole Peat of Tulsa, Okla., and Shari Jarrette of Las Vegas; one sister, Olivia Stephens of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Margaret Rucker LaGue

Margaret Rucker LaGue, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 21, 1924, in Oklahoma City. A resident for two years, she was a retired employee of the federal government and a Coast Guard veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna LaGue of Las Vegas; one son, Lawrence LaGue of Bloomington, Calif.; one brother, Fred Rucker II of Oklahoma City; and one grandson.

Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Kathleen Ann Lynch

Kathleen Ann Lynch, 53, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Winthrop, Mass. A resident for 33 years, she was a senior appraiser clerk for the county tax assessor.

She is survived by her husband, Danny J.; one son, Joseph A. Morani of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Amber McGuire and Trina Lynch, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Severino Garofalo of Boston; and three granddaughters.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Peggy Mitchell

Peggy Mitchell, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Birmingham, England. A resident for 15 years and a U.S. citizen since 1962, she was a homemaker and a member of the Royal Fire Service in England during World War II.

She is survived by her husband, John T.; one son, Barry Mitchell of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Billy Joe Ramey

Billy Joe Ramey, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for 13 years, he was retired from the Navy and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Lynne Scheib

Lynne Scheib, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. A retired interior designer, she was born Oct. 25, 1927, in New York City.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; three sons, Craig Scheib and Scott Rotheiser, both of Las Vegas, and Gary Scheib of Miami; and three grandchildren.

Pearl Kaz Sherman

Pearl Kaz Sherman, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Nashville, Tenn. A resident for nine years, she was a retired secretary and bookkeeper, past president of B'nai B'rith Women, Freedom Chapter, Chicago, and the PTA, a leader of Chicago Girl Scout Troop 551, a member of Hadassah, Jewish War Veterans Women's Auxiliary and Pioneer Women of Chicago.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Stephen Sherman of Arcadia, Calif.; two sisters, Gertrude Grossman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Rose Beike of Huntsville, Ala.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be in Illinois. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

James A. Shinn

James A. Shinn, 49, of Mesa, Ariz., died Saturday in Las Vegas. A postal worker, he was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Logansport, Ind.

He is survived by his wife, Rosana.

Burial will be in Indiana. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mary Genevieve Thompson

Mary Genevieve Thompson, 85, of Henderson, died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born June 14, 1918, in Georgia. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired clerk in the automotive industry.

She is survived by two sons, James C. Thompson of San Jose, Calif., and Terrell Leroy Thompson of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
