Camp would help boy steer right

A 10-year-old boy is described as "very bright and delightful," but he has an impulse disorder that can make him rude and obnoxious at times. He also has been known to steal. But with consistent rewards and consequences, he straightens up and does well, his social worker says.
One of the activities that brings out the boy's best is outdoor activities, she says. He loves swimming, roller blading and outdoor games.
He wants badly to go to camp, "where I could stay overnight, like in a cabin!" she quotes him as saying. The social worker says she and his mother think it would be the best thing for him and that "he would benefit from the activities and interaction with nature, other kids and camp leaders."
The Sun Summer Camp Fund provides scholarships for such children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend camp. The Las Vegas Sun covers all administrative costs, so every donated dollar goes directly to camp tuition.
By joining contributors to the Las Vegas Sun Camp Fund you can make a difference in a child's life.
