Second Nevada guardsman hurt in Iraq

A second Nevada National Guardsman was injured when the Humvee he was in struck a land mine in northeast Baghdad Tuesday.
Spc. Mark Carabajal, of Las Vegas, was driving the Humvee as part of a security detail for a convoy when the mine exploded. Carabajal suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.
Sgt. Jeramy McLoughlin, of Las Vegas, suffered shrapnel wounds in the explosion and remains hospitalized, Nevada National Guard spokeswoman Lt. April Conway said.
Both soldiers are members of 72nd Military Police Co., and are providing security at Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad.
