Ice cream Sunday

Sunny 106.5, Aliante and Anderson Dairy are hosting Sunny's first "Ice Cream Sunday" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park at Aliante on Aliante Parkway. The event will include face-painting, jump houses, water play areas, clowns and ice cream. The event is free. 796-4040.

Acting workshops

New City Theatre, 2900 Patrick Lane, is offering free acting workshops for those over the age of 18 from 1-3 p.m. every Saturday. 547-1228.

Drama workshop

A free community drama workshop will be held from 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays in the main showroom of the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, 4000 W. Flamingo Road. 457-0234.

Sculpture contest

Entries are being accepted for a sculpture contest held by the Pulidor Foundation/Spirit of the Nations, in preparation for its second annual Native American Arts & International Film Festival from Nov. 14-16.
