Charles Francis Augustine
Charles Francis Augustine, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1940, in DuBuque, Iowa. A resident for 16 years, he was an airline pilot and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one daughter, Andrea Walsh of Los Angeles; three sons, Gregory Augustine of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Laurence Augustine of St. Augustine, Fla., and Dallas Augustine of Long Beach, Calif.; and three sisters, Marilyn Williamson of Sterling, Va., Laura Brookman of Napa Calif., and JoAnn Augustine of Mill Valley, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Viator Catholic Church, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Carol June Bailey
Carol June Bailey, 78, died Wednesday. Born June 29, 1925, she was a casino cashier for 24 years.
She is survived by one son, Gary E. Bailey of Las Vegas.
Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, handled arrangements.
Nick Bassolino
Nick Bassolino, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired plumber and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Nick D. Bassolino of Los Osos, Calif., and Ron Bassolino of Monarch Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
M.C. Bedingfield
M.C. Bedingfield, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1921, in Newport, Ark. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired carpenter, World War II Army veteran, with five major battle citations and the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, James Bedingfield and Marton Bedingfield, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Wanetta Nystrom of Kingsburg, Calif.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. rosary today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Mortuary.
Barbara Ann Blobel
Barbara Ann Blobel, 65, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1937, in Arab, Ala. A resident for 28 years, she was a manager of a mobile home park.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest A.; one daughter, Heather Abbott of Raleigh, N.C.; five sons, James Abbot of Atlanta, Richard Abbott of Tallahassee, Fla., Michael Abbott of Sacramento and Glen Abbott and Jason Abbott, both of Monticello, Fla.; one stepson, Ernest Blobel Jr. of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Sharon Mathis of Camilla, Ga.; one sister, Carol Novielli of Daytona, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Craig S. Brickner
Craig S. Brickner, 66, of of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 23, 1937, in York, Pa. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Elizabeth Doyell of Yucaipa, Calif.; four sons, Steve Brickner and Jeff Brickner, both of York, Troy Durden of Reno and Joel Durden of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Stephen Douglas Conley
Stephen Douglas Conley, 55, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1948, in San Diego. A resident for 30 years, he was a dealer.
He is survived by his companion, Lillie Mull; his father, Robert F. Conley; and his mother, Sybil J. Burgi.

Mary P. Del Gatto
Mary P. Del Gatto, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Tony; two daughters, Patricia Piccione of Buffalo and Kathleen Di Cillo of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Del Gatto of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Lorraine Ann Gale
Lorraine Ann Gale, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1942, in Wisconsin. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired 21 dealer.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; one son, Robert; and one sister, Bonnie Smith.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
John W. Lockett
John W. Lockett, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 18, 1937, in New Mexico. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired truck driver, Marine Corps veteran, and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; four sons, Johnny, Patrick, William and Casey; one daughter, Tonni Atay; one brother, James; one sister, Beverly Johnson; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Jose Ines Talamantes
Jose Ines Talamantes, 92, died Tuesday in California. He was born April 23, 1911. A former resident for 15 years, he was a farmer.
He is survived by one son, Humberto Talamante of Las Vegas; two daughters, Martha Fragoso of Las Vegas and Noemi Hernandez of South Gate, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Freddie 'Sam' Wells Sr.
Freddie "Sam" Wells Sr., 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 27, 1938, in Louisiana. A resident for 43 years, he was a chef.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; six sons, Gregory Kent of California, Leonardo Wells, Freddie Wells Jr., Stacey Wells, Yul Wells and Brady Wells, all of Las Vegas; 11 daughters, Monie Johnson of California, Erica Wells of Alabama, Gwen Johnson, Angie Wells and Brenda Wells, all of Louisiana, and Valerie Dunlap, Pamela Wells-Meyers, Christie Wells, Janice Lomax, Karen Minton and Terri Brown, all of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Mary Hicks-Rabb, Izella Wells, Dorothy Ann Potter and Susie Butler, all of Las Vegas, and Gloria Jean Carter, Chartha Crockett and Carolyn Marshall, all of Louisiana; and 31 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 7 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Nora L. 'Kitty' Whitney
Nora L. "Kitty" Whitney, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Boulder City. She was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Alavista, Va. A resident for 30 years, she owned and operated a child care nursery.
She was preceded in death by one son, Craig T.Whitney. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Allison of Henderson; three sons, Ronald Mann of Appomatto, Va., James Mann of Lynchburg, Va., and Mike Mann of Roanoke, Va.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City.
