Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 | 9:15 a.m.

ATLANTIC CITY -- Donald Trump's Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc., which owns casinos in New Jersey and Indiana, plans to seek a riverboat gaming license in Illinois.

The license would be pursued with that help of the suburban Chicago towns of Crestwood, Riverdale, Blue Island, Ford Heights, Alsip, Midlothian, Posen, Robbins, Calumet Park and Phoenix, the company said in a statement Wednesday.

Trump Hotels owns three casinos in Atlantic City, including the Trump Taj Mahal, and a riverboat casino in Indiana. Earlier this month, Park Place Entertainment Corp., the world's largest casino company, submitted a bid to develop a Caesars casino near Chicago.

Shares of Atlantic City-based Trump Hotels fell 2 cents to $1.73 at 4:15 p.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading Wednesday. They've fallen 33 percent this year.
