Louis F. Basile, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1940, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a retired mason.
He is survived by one daughter, Victoria Ortiz of St. Pete Beach, Fla.

Glen T. Cummings
Glen T. Cummings, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Nebraska. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired machinist for a rocket engine parts company.
He is survived by one nephew, Don Ozman of Las Vegas; and two nieces, Cindy Barnum of Las Vegas and Ellen Ferguson of Sedalia, Colo.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. graveside services at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Emil Francis Dayer
Emil Francis Dayer, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 22, 1915, in Conway, Ark. A resident for five years, he was an engineer for an aircraft manufacturer, and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Anne; one son, Richard Dayer of Newall, Calif.; two daughters, Kathleen Strong of Tujunga, Calif., and JoAnne Hoffman of Sacramento; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Lois L. Ferracane, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1947, in New Orleans. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; one daughter, Jessica Ferracane of Kurtistown, Hawaii; one son, Louis J. Ferracane III of Los Altos, Calif.; one brother, Dennis Ludwig of Texarkana, Texas; and one grandchild.

Arnold A. Glick, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Illinois. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired auto salesman, and Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine "Sis"; two sons, Hal and Ron; and one sister, Marion Rend.

Claudia Hakimpour, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born April 15, 1951, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. A resident for 29 years, she was a real estate consultant.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Khossrow "Kim" Hakimpour.

Jacqueline Terese Harris, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 3, 1930. A resident for 40 years, she was a collections worker.
She is survived by two sons, Daryl and Garen; three daughters, Heidi, Tracy and Tiffany; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

William E. Jacobs
William E. Jacobs, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born March 20, 1946, in Ohio. A resident four six years, he was an aircraft machinist, and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Melinda; one son, William Jacobs; one daughter, Brooke Jacobs; two sisters, Pat and Rosita; one brother; and three grandchildren.

Pamela Ruth Juniel, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 13, 1952, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 30 years, she was a security guard and a member of the Wackenbut Guard Association at Nevada Test Site.
She is survived by one daughter, Shawn Lynelle Irving of Phoenix; one son, Robert F. Williams Jr. of Reno; his mother and father, Laura B. Rushing and Hayward Juniel, both of Las Vegas.

Virginia June Knispel
Virginia June Knispel, 72, of Mesquite died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 12, 1931, in Nebraska. A Nevada resident for four years, she was a District Court clerk and a member of the Virgin Valley Democrat Club and Mesquite Art Association.
She is survived by her husband, Emerson; one son, Blaine Knispel; two daughters, Vicki Rose and Nanette Meyer; one brother, Lloyd Nolde; and three grandchildren.

Bonnie Ling, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 18, 1929, in Malvern, Ark. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Verser of Magnet Cove, Ark.; two daughters, Shannon Verser and Tracey Brown, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kenneth C. Newton
Kenneth C. Newton, 72, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 28, 1931, in Iowa Park, Texas. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired telecommunications supervisor, Korean War Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and American Bowling Congress.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Rita Riemer-Chandler and Marcie Hansen, both of Henderson; two sons, John Hansen and Stuart Hansen, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Jo Howe of Georgetown, Texas; one brother, Mac Newton of McKinney, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ruben A. Ramirez, 91, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 7, 1911, in Mazatlan, Mexico. A resident for two years, he was a produce salesman and a member of the United Food Commercial Workers Union of Southern California.
He is survived by one daughter, Norma Lastra of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bradford S. Rawlinson
Bradford S. Rawlinson, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 21, 1917, in Cooter, Mo. A resident for two years, he was a retired bank examiner, World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7665.
He is survived by one son, Stuart Rawlinson of Las Vegas; one brother, Finley "Bud" Landreth of Valley Springs, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Shizuyo T. Roberts, 70, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Kyoto, Japan. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Ann Freaney of Yorktown, Va., and Shirley Lynn Cooper and Patricia Mae Newman, both of Las Vegas; and one son, Richard Roberts of Lacey, Wash.

Daniel John Salmela, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. Born June 30, 1954, he was a graphic artist.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Salmela of Las Vegas; two brothers, Thomas Salmela and Nathan Salmela; and one sister, Susan Carr.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia J.; two daughters, Erika Scivally and Maylena Scivally, both of Nashville; three stepdaughters, Seriena Travis, Jocelyn Serrano and Wynette McFadden, all of Las Vegas; one stepson, Delvin McFadden of Boron, Calif.; one brother, Robert Lee Scivally of Los Angeles; one sister, Constance Singleton of Nashville; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Veronica "Billie" Valeri, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born March 21, 1924, in Cleveland. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired bank teller and a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, Royal Ridge Bridge Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Moss and Roberta Hartsock, and one son, Louis Valeri, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Shirley Ann Whaley, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born July 5, 1934, in Eagle Point, Ore. A resident for 17 years, she was a food service cook at Nellis Air Force Base.
She is survived by her husband, Fred S.; one son, Bill Morris of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Jerri Morris, and two two brothers, Bob Damon and Jim Damon, all of Eagle Point; four sisters, Leila Maxie of Las Vegas, Dorothy Waddell of Eagle Point, Jo Campbell of Phoenix and Lil Myers of White City, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Kathlyn E. Wilson, 80, died Tuesday. She was born July 18, 1923, in Muskogee, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a music teacher with the Clark County School District.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Lamb of North Las Vegas and Susan Davis of Dallas; two sons, Kenneth Wilson of Cincinnati and Michael Wilson of Las Vegas; three sisters, Lenore Wilson of Muskogee, Okla., Mary Robertson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Cheryl Mattox of Danville, Calif.; four brothers, Clisson Warren and Michael Warren, both of Muskogee, John Warren of Almo, Calif., and Booker Warren of Tallahassee; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donna Maxine Young, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Nebraska. A resident for 61 years, she was owner of Donna's Custom Furniture, Scott's Photo Studio and a mobile sales company, and was a member of the Emblem Club, Las Vegas Mobile Home Association, Las Vegas Yacht Club, and was former chairwoman and leader of the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by her husband, Mack; two daughters, Beverly Chaplin and Jeanene Hunter, both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
