Cephus Barfield
Cephus Barfield, 96, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born July 29, 1907, in Randolph County, Ala. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired Army warrant officer.
He is survived by one daughter, Elenore G. Lacey of Hillsboro, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, P.O. Box 15645, Las Vegas, NV 89195.
Hani Choufani
Hani Choufani, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1960, in Beirut, Lebanon. A resident for 16 years, he was a courier.
He is survived by his wife, Maramis; two sisters, Novha Choufani of Beirut and Nada Choufani of Kuwait; four stepchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Boulder Creek Conference Room, 1501 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, is handling arrangements.
Alfred Cimaglia
Alfred Cimaglia, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1926, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired police investigator, World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annette; one son, Charles F. Cimaglia of Henderson; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista.
Stephanie L. Clark
Stephanie L. Clark, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1944, in San Diego. A resident for five years, she was a retired insurance secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Keith W.; one sister, Carole Nonast of Coos Bay, Ore.; and two brothers, Mike Newsome of Mission Viejo, Calif., and John Klevins of Illinois.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
Allene J. Davis
Allene J. Davis, 84, of Yuba City, Calif., died Thursday in Yuba City. She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Stillwell, Okla. A former 30-year resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Grady Davis of Las Vegas; three daughters, Katherine J. Shell of Rio Oso, Calif., Abigail L. Davis of Las Vegas and Carolyn Shell of Elverta, Calif.; two sisters, Leola Logan of Sacramento and Bernice Worley of Stillwell; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Luetta Florence Ellis
Luetta Florence Ellis, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 10, 1911, in Hill Ranch, Ore. A resident for 66 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Annette Fisherman of New York City; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Goodsprings Cemetery, in Goodsprings.
Dudley Franklin Everett
Dudley Franklin Everett, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. Born July 24, 1956, in California, he was a resident for 20 months.
He is survived by four daughters, Janice Nicole Quill and Trinidad Marie Drozeski, both of Las Vegas, Ashley Danielle Everett of Texas and Cherokee Lynne Haley of Arizona; three sisters, Cheryl Clifford of Las Vegas, Belinda Clark of Utah and Teresa Gross of California; and five grandchildren.
Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Fay M. Sullivan
Fay M. Sullivan, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 12, 1915, in St. Regis Falls, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired nurse.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Sullivan of Las Vegas and Don Sullivan of Kaysville, Utah; and one sister, Eileen Briggs of Lafayette, N.Y.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.
Edward F. Van Tassel
Edward F. Van Tassel, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born June 10, 1912, in West New York, N.J. A resident for 62 years, he was a retired warehouse manager for a commercial uniform company.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; one daughter, Pamela M. Turek of Savannah, Ga.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Tom J. Teaford
Tom J. Teaford, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1933, in Lafayette, Ind. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; and one son, Tom Teaford, and two daughters, Rebecca Teaford and Deborah Teaford, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 8:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
