Joyce Elaine Barton

Joyce Elaine Barton, 72, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born June 22, 1931, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; two sons, David Bruce Barton of Daytona Beach, Fla., and John William Barton of Rapid City, S.D.; two daughters, Debe Lynn Knight of Simi Valley, Calif., and Joyce Ann Shubin of Victorville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Colleen Cody Becker

Colleen Cody Becker, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Nampa, Idaho. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired health care administrator.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; four daughters, Debra Kijima of Spokane, Wash., Judy Miles of Carson City and Nancy Becker and Patty Becker, both of Las Vegas; one son, Martin Becker of Great Falls, Mont.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Neil Bryant

Neil Bryant, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Portsmouth, Va. A resident for 18 years, he was a steam fitter, a Navy veteran, a member of the Masons and Shriners.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Bryant of Las Vegas and Barry Bryant of Tracy, Calif.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Fred Leroy Deweese

Fred Leroy Deweese, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 14, 1913, in Plainview, Texas. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired automobile mechanic and a Korean War Navy and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Kingham of Valdosta, Ga., and Judy Souza of Apache Junction, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Barbara J. Hardwick

Barbara J. Hardwick, 54, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Louisiana. A resident for 41 years, she was a vital records clerk for the Clark County Health District.

She is survived by three daughters, Tonya Williams, Lawanda Muldrow and Shonnette Hardwick, one son, Kevin Mitchell, and one sister, Joann Stevens, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Robert Hardwick and Theodore Hardwick, both of California and David Hardwick, Harold Hardwick and Paul Hardwick, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Seventh Day Adventist, J St. Burial will be private.

Bryce Steven Hoffman

Bryce Steven Hoffman, 7 weeks, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 2003, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Tina and Steven Hoffman, three sisters, Logan Hoffman, Ryan Hoffman and Lynsey Hoffman, and one brother, Dustin Emery Hoffman, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Thomas Anthony Hoover

Thomas Anthony Hoover, 96, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 6, 1907, in Rensselaer, Ind. A resident for three years, he was a retired tavern and hotel owner, a World War II Army veteran and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 106 in Michigan.

He is survived by three daughters, Carole Gervais of Henderson and Malvina Elwood and Shirley Rukes, both of Florida; three sons, George Hoover and Burt Hoover, both of Florida, and Tony Hoover of California; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the Family Home Hospice, 1701 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 102, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

Pearle Rose Jones

Pearle Rose Jones, 94, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1909, in Pioche. A lifelong resident of Nevada, she was a retired bookkeeper of 40 years and past grand matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Reynold U. Jones of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Pioche. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Leonard McWilliams

Leonard McWilliams, 56, of Las Vegas died June 25 in Las Vegas. A loading dock worker, he was born Feb. 12, 1947, in Louisiana.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Sharon Lampman Michael

Sharon Lampman Michael, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1935, in Annapolis, Md. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth L. Michael-Martin of Henderson; one son, Thomas M.L. Michael of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

William Freeman Smith

William Freeman Smith, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1926, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a schoolteacher, an Army veteran and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; three daughters, Sharon Eckberg of Billings, Mont., Leslie Stirling of Las Vegas and Martha Smith of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling pending services.

Eileen G. Voelpel

Eileen G. Voelpel, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1933, in Pontiac, Mich. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired registration clerk for a convention center.

She is survived by her husband, John; four sons, John F. Voelpel Jr. of Las Vegas, Lawrence W. Voelpel of Lapeer, Mich., Mark W. Voelpel of Davisburg, Mich., and Ronald G. Voelpel of Henderson; one daughter, Vickie L. Carrow of Henderson; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Francis J. Votry Sr.

Francis J. Votry Sr., 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Michigan. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired automobile salesman, a Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, Francis Jr.; three daughters, Marie Smith, Cathy Mercadante and Louella Williams; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
