Lori Dawn Barnson

Lori Dawn Barnson, 47, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born July 21, 1956, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she owned and operated a decorating service.

She is survived by one son, Christopher Barnson, and her mother, Marvel Barnson, both of North Las Vegas; her father, Larry Barnson of Las Vegas; and one brother, Joey Barnson of North Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Richard H. Bell

Richard H. Bell, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Iowa. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired owner of a music company and a member of the Paradise Democratic Club.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; one daughter, JoAnn Pederson of Las Vegas; five sons, Richard Bell of Hawaii, Kurtis Bell of Las Vegas, Randy Bell of Texas and Bill Jones and John Black, both of California; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Marjorie Buckles

Marjorie Buckles, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1918, in Clinton, Ill. A resident for 10 years, she was retired and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Jaster of Las Vegas; one son, John W. Buckles of LaQuinta, Calif.; one brother, Fred Wilson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the general missionary fund of the LDS Church.

Wanada C. Bunyea

Wanada C. Bunyea, 83, of Peoria, Ariz., died Monday in Peoria. She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Blue Island, Ill. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, James N. Bunyea of Joliet, Ill.; and one daughter, Jackie Price of Peoria.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Daniel J. Doine

Daniel J. Doine, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was an MGM Grand keno writer, a retired American Airlines employee and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; four daughters, Rosemary Mosher of Rolling Hills, Calif., Virginia Kitson of Vallejo, Calif., Lorraine Kitson of Lomito, Calif., and Dawn Donoho of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Yvonne Buckner of Camp Verde, Ariz.; two brothers, Michael Doine of Glendale, Ariz., and Albert Doine of Sun City, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Eunice S. Gobeli

Eunice S. Gobeli, 99, of Harlowton, Mont., died Tuesday in a Harlowton hospital. A former Las Vegas resident, she was born July 11, 1904, in Upland, Neb.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Stevens of Ruth and Ricky Koontz of Ashland, Ky.; one son, Garrett Gobeli of Scituate, R.I.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Anne Goodman

Anne Goodman, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Philadelphia. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired insurance company clerk, a past president of Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary Post 21 and a member of Overseas Rehabilitation Training of Encino, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Iris Fullington of Birmingham, Ala., and Judy Kramer of Acton, Mass.; one brother, Martin Schecter of Boynton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Oren Goodrich

Oren Goodrich, 61, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired owner of an automotive repair business.

He is survived by one son, Cliff Goodrich; one daughter, Debi Paulson; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Theresa Hobbs

Theresa Hobbs, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Nebraska. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired dietician.

She is survived by one son, Jerald Hobbs of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Saul Hoffman

Saul Hoffman, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, he owned a window treatment company and was a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one daughter, Brandi Hoffman; and one son, Jody Hoffman.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Dennis Lee Hosmer

Dennis Lee Hosmer, 47, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his mother, Elva Louise Keeran; and two brothers, Carl Hosmer and Edward Hosmer.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m.-noon Sunday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Patrick Paul Lynch

Patrick Paul Lynch, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was a hotel auditor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mae; one son, Allan J. Coleman of Las Vegas; two daughters, Deborah A. Kraak of Chicago and Patricia P. Schrader of Las Vegas; three brothers, John Lynch, Tom Lynch and Joe Lynch, all of Chicago; two sisters, Kay Persinger of Florida and Mary Lesniak of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-9 p.m. today at Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. A private burial will follow.

William Carl Marquardt Jr.

William Carl Marquardt Jr., 77, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a dairy worker and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Richard W.; one sister, Jean J. Mickson of Central Point, Ore.; and two brothers, Frank C. Marquardt of Wisconsin and Harold Marquardt of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

David James McClain

David James McClain, 44, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1959, in Detroit. A resident for 15 years, he was a ramp lead for America West Airlines.

He is survived by one sister, Diane Huckins.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

James A. McCullar

James A. McCullar, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 23, 1929, in Juana, Texas. A resident for five years, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by one daughter, Malinda Gibson of Salt Lake City; one son, James McCullar II of Las Vegas; one brother, Ronald McCullar of Phoenix; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Nelda Grace Rader

Nelda Grace Rader, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1909, in Rocky, Okla. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Catholic Church's Garden Club and the Corps of Engineers' Wives Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Anne Kennedy of Roswell, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Alvin A. Richards Jr.

Alvin A. Richards Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 5, 1929, in Brushton, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired carpenter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Erma Marie; two daughters, Deanna Hughes and Dianna Klinkner, both of Las Vegas; one son, Alvin Richards III of Bowling Green, Mo.; six sisters, Margaret Richards, Eleanor Temper, Thelma Degon, Marlean Willensky, Elaine Stacey and Alma Hayes, and four brothers, Clinton Richards, Kendrick Richards, Ronald Richards and Loren Richards, all of New York state; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
