Fair to good success for striped and largemouth bass has been found during the past week in the Overton Arm at Lake Mead while the action has been difficult for those anglers who have been fishing in the Boulder Basin.
Over the weekend several boaters told Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) creel census clerks that they had good success for stripers in Salt Bay in the Overton Arm. There have been large numbers of threadfin shad in that area as well.
Largemouth bass were caught over the weekend at Ann Margaret Cove, St. Thomas and Stewart's Point in the Overton Arm. Bass fishing has been slow throughout the Boulder Basin.
Children who were fishing from shore with marshmallows near Cottonwood Cove Marina over the weekend were catching bluegill.
