Mad Science workshop scheduled
As part of the Mad Science workshops, the Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will host "Mad Science to the Max," a workshop from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway, for children ages 5-12.
Participants will investigate optical illusions as they build their own periscopes, explore polymers and the chemical reactions used to create them and transform two liquids into an oozing batch of slime

Go back to school in style, girls
Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330, will host the Starting School with Style class from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Tess Cazimero, former model and agent, will show girls ages 11-15 how to give themselves a natural make-over, which includes skin care, light make-up, wardrobe and hair and nail care. Cazimero will also talk about posture, body language and self-esteem. Call 616-4900.
