Letter: Seismic study should be remote

I wish to express my concern about UNLV setting up charges throughout the Las Vegas Valley to study seismic activity. Don't you think that maybe it is better to study such things out in the middle of the desert where there is no real property or pools or other such structures to be damaged by such activity?

I don't believe that we need to have some fools setting off charges underground to see how much movement they can make across the developed area of the valley. How about a little common sense?

Who approves such studies? Is this some more of that government garbage where it does things for our own good? I hope all property owners pay particular attention to their property and be ready to go to court to recover property damages these idiots are bound to cause with such ridiculous behavior.
