Las Vegan wins honor from DRI

Troy E. Wade II of Las Vegas has received a Desert Research Institute president's medal for his leadership in developing a Nevada Test Site historical museum at the DRI branch in Southern Nevada.
Wade is president of the historical foundation and chairman of the Nevada Alliance for Defense, Energy and Business, a group of more than 30 technology companies working to bring new science and technology programs to the Test Site.
DRI President Stephen Wells also awarded medals to former Assembly Speaker Joe Dini; Rudolph Gunnerman, for establishing the $25,000 Rudolph W. Gunnerman Silver State Award for Excellence in Science and Technology; and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation for its international humanitarian leadership and research partnership with the DRI.
