Shuffle Master Inc. said Monday it completed the purchase of certain assets and intellectual property rights owned by Sega Gaming Technology Inc. Sega Gaming is a subsidiary of Sega Corp. of Japan. The transaction was announced April 4.
The company has acquired inventory and license rights to multi-player games primarily for the North American market, including Royal Ascot, Royal Derby, Sega Blackjack, Bingo Party and Roulette Club.
The acquisitions allow Shuffle Master to expand the reach of its table game division by offering the games in electronic form for "racinos" and other markets, Shuffle Master Chief Executive Officer Mark Yoseloff said. Racinos are racetracks that have added slot machines.
