Broadband provider OptiGate Networks is opening a regional office in Las Vegas.
The Oakhurst, Calif.-based company will open the office at 302 E. Carson St. today, during the Networld+Interop convention, said OptiGate spokeswoman Mary Luciano.
OptiGate provides high-speed Internet access, wide-area network service, wireless data networks, server hosting, and network monitoring and management services, Luciano said. The company said it has about 200 customers worldwide, ranging from small businesses to international corporations.
Initially, the downtown Las Vegas office will employ two sales representatives and two technical support employees. The office will serve customers in Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico and provide backup services for other cities.
