Julia J. Anderson

Julia J. Anderson, 65, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Hillham, Tenn. A resident for eight years, she was a retired caregiver in private homes.

She is survived by one daughter, Felicia Cormier of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Sheultz of Crestview, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce and May, both of Virginia; two brothers, Jerry of Virginia and James of Maryland; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 820 Shadow Lane, Suite 303, Las Vegas, NV 89106.

Margaret Benjamin

Margaret Benjamin, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Laughlin. A workmen's compensation analyst, she was born June 13, 1951, in California.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Maxine E. Brown

Maxine E. Brown, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1918, in Minneapolis. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Young at Heart, Catholic Daughters of America and the Mesquite Club.

She is survived by her husband, James; two sons, David Brown of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Paul Brown of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kathleen McIntosh of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Newnom of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 7:30 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119, or the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Robert Brown

Robert Brown, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1929, in New York. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired Navy Seabee master chief.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; one son, Robert Charles Brown Jr., U.S. Marine Corps; one daughter, Marilyn Gately; three brothers, Richard Brown, Thomas Brown and James Brown; one sister, Joan Faust; and three grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Loralie Cooker

Loralie Cooker, 42, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. An office manager and real estate saleswoman, she was born Sept. 30, 1960, in Redding, Calif.

She is survived by one son, Corey Coker, one daughter, Denita Coker, and her parents, Betty Ann and Cecil Collins, all of Redding.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Redding. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Margaret Ruth Ercole

Margaret Ruth Ercole, 66, of Las Vegas died April 15 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Oklahoma. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired medical transcriptionist and a Navy veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Tymer, and one son, Matthew Ercole, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Joe Walker of Eureka, Calif.; and two granddaughters.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Judy Frank

Judy Frank, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born July 6, 1937, in Montreal. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker and president of the women's division of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; three daughters, Ellen Schulhofer of Las Vegas, Jennifer Casella of Voorhies, N.J., and Susan Frank of Mountain View, Calif.; one son, Jason Frank of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Rosenthal of Montreal; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Memorial Cemetery.

Donald G. Galbraith

Donald G. Galbraith, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. A real estate agent, he was born Dec. 8, 1916, in Balaton, Minn.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Paquette of Henderson; two sons, Garry Galbraith of Bloomington, Ill., and David Galbraith of Brentwood, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave.

Evelyn L. Kock

Evelyn L. Kock, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn L. Winter of Vero Beach, Fla.; two sons, Carlos Kock of Chicago and Edgar Kock of Park Falls, Wis.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Sidney M. Lederman

Sidney M. Lederman, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1912, in New York City. A resident for many years, he was retired and was a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by one son, Michael Lederman of California; one daughter, Barbara Noell of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be in California. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

William Post

William Post, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 15, 1934, in California. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired truck driver and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; four sons, James, Donald, David and Tommy, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Ernest of Washington state; one sister, Edna of Northern California; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Roy H. Robb

Roy H. Robb, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born April 6, 1917, in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired mobile home salesman and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Josephine Robb of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Bill Ryff

Bill Ryff, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born July 12, 1921, in New York City. A resident for 53 years, he was a hotel maitre' d, a World War II Merchant Marine veteran and a member of the Culinary Union for 50 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Gayle Ryff and Darlene Morledge, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Rose Olster of Encino, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Josephine Soules, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 13, 1933, in New York.

Martha Jean Speer

Martha Jean Speer, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Denver. A resident for 37 years, she was an office supervisor for MONY Life Insurance Co., a member of the Eastern Star, Golden Gate Chapter 58 in Kansas City, Mo., for 50 years.

She is survived by four children, Cynthia Cornell and Michele Hunter, both of Henderson, Jerry Gregory of Denham Springs, La., and Nancy Stewart of Denver; one sister, Fonscene Liming of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lois S. Zepeda

Lois S. Zepeda, 73, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Houston. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Elias; three sons, Jacob Zepeda, Paul Zepeda and Alexander Zepeda, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Yvonne Houston of Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Delores Martinez, Nena Perales and Patricia Sanchez, and one brother, George Sanchez, all of Houston; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services are private. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
